Most of the world’s amber is 30 to 90 million years old and is considered by many to be a valuable gemstone and naturally bio-energetic. In traditional Chinese medicine, amber is reputed to calm the mind, and enhance the digestive system, detoxifies and improves vision. Amber is reported to effectively repair skin cells, also acting as an anti-oxidant. In the Chinese empire, jade has held special significance for thousands of years, similar to that of gold and diamonds in the West. Symbolizing purity and serenity, Jade is appreciated for its ability to balance yin and yang, and for removing accumulated toxins from stress, to enable natural healing and holistic nourishment. Jade Journey begins with a special Jade Foot Bath and Tea Bath Ritual, followed by a massage incorporating traditional Chinese massage techniques. Focusing on the meridian channels of points to release blocked chi energy, the traditional Guasha technique is gently and soothingly applied, using the customised jade stone. The Guasha technique has been used since the Yuan Dynasty, as a means to cure common ailments, with the ‘scraping movement.’ In this context, Jade’s gentle energy works to bring heat to the body or pull inflammation out of the body. 	SICHUAN CRYSTAL HERB THERAPY 1hr 30min SHANGRI-LA, CHENGDU A relaxing, warming energy-based treatment using local herbs, salt and crystals in a unique treatment combination designed to relieve lower body aches and pains. This holistic treatment encompasses the feet, back and abdomen to restore energy and alleviate aches and pains from localized inflammation.
