Jaeger-LeCoultre: seeing stars at Venice Film Fest
10th September 2011
Venice, Italy

The recently concluded 68th Venice International Film Festival was a tremendously glamorous affair that featured some of the world's most well-loved celebrities. Jaeger-LeCoultre, having been one of the festival's faithful sponsors since 2005, extended its presence throughout many aspects of the event, from adorning stars in the finest creations to helping 10 ailing individuals recover from the ravages of heart disease.

Deanie Yip, Michael Fassbender, and Alexsander Sokurov's Faust won the awards for Best Actress, Best Actor and Best Film, also known as the Golden Lion, respectively. Each received unique timepieces engraved with a lion, a handcrafted symbol of Venice. Also of note was the “Jaeger-LeCoultre Glory to the Filmmaker Award”, which honoured Al Pacino as he presented his third movie in Venice. Most admirable, however was Jaeger-LeCoultre's announcement of its pledge to finance 10 operations at Sudan's Salam Centre, which assists children and adults suffering from heart disease.
