ilLido KL celebrates the Italian culinary heritage with a brand new menu of back-to-basics traditional classics. Helmed by new Executive Chef Andrea Zanella, the revamped menu will also initiate the new identity of ilLido KL as a pork-free restaurant. The complete updated menu will be introduced by 1st August 2011. Veal takes centre stage on the new menu. Owner and restaurateur Beppe De Vito has successfully sourced for excellent veal meat from a supplier in Italy and is specially importing them. “Veal is so well-used in Italian cuisine. We had pork dishes at the beginning because we couldn’t find good veal here. Now that we do, we’re excited that we can offer the original Veal Milanese, Ossobuco and many more,” says De Vito. “Moreover, Chef Andrea is known for his veal dishes, which makes us even more confident that our diners will be pleased with the new introductions,” adds De Vito, whose F&B experience has seen him leading many well-known Italian fine dining restaurants in Singapore over the past decade. |

Italian Executive Chef Andrea Zanella, with over 20 years of culinary experience from many established restaurants around Italy, London and then in Asia, will stand by the restaurant’s principle of delivering authentic and timeless Italian cuisine. Furthermore, having previously helmed the kitchens of various Italian dining establishments in Kuala Lumpur for almost a decade, he is certainly familiar with the palates of Malaysian diners and the gourmet foods here to present an a la carte menu of people-pleaser items using the freshest and finest ingredients. “The Italian food culture is so rich and Italian food is much more than what you can find in the current KL restaurant scene. We’ll be featuring new dishes that are Italian classics but are uncommon in KL,” Chef Andrea describes of the menu revamp.
Having made a wave in Malaysian restaurant scene last year, ilLido KL has swiftly found its position as one of KL’s finest Italian restaurants. “Ultimately, we decided to open ilLido here with the goal to deliver real fine Italian dining experiences to KL. We look forward to being able to serve even more Malaysian diners, now that we are pork-free,” says De Vito. ilLido KL Related Articles on LifeAndStyle.com.my N.B. ilLido Italian Dining + Lounge Bar is a valued sponsor of the KK Food Fest |
