After an overwhelming success in 2009, this year’s Singapore Wine Fiesta is set to be even more spectacular than last year. From October 29th to 31st, indulge with over 40 winemakers, more than 250 labels to sample, a multitude of activities and delicious food, making this a celebration to remember. Feista goers can expect a casual, relaxed outdoor market, the opportunity to chat with winemakers, a fantastic spread of food from the Duxton family including Uluru!, The Toucan, Deliciae, Celina’s GastroBar and many more, a buzzing flea market, and Halloween Sunday activities for the kids. Find everything from jewelry to art, Swiss beer tastings and of course, wine accessories galore. Close to 3,000 people braved the sun and rain for 2009’s Wine Fiesta, in what was seen as the wine event of the year. This year, expect no less. From New Zealand to Switzerland and everything in between, meet award winning winemakers from the best regions in the world including internationally acclaimed Presenting Winery Bird in Hand, and Supporting Winery Urlar. Among those present will be the people behind Two Hands, Champagne Gosset, Disznoko Tokaji, Glaetzer, Kaesler, and the famous Chartreuse, made with a secret recipe by Carthusian Monks. Referred to as “a refreshing and fun take on the usually serious topic of wine” by wine writer Jenny Tan, the Singapore Wine Fiesta offers beginners and connoisseurs an exceptional opportunity to meet winemakers and travel the world without ever leaving the island.
