Jakarta Culinary Festival 2010

Back for its 2nd year, Jakarta Culinary Festival (JCF) is a one-month long festival that covers a multitude of new and exciting F&B related events from raw materials to finished products.

Held from 4th to 30th November, 2010 at participating venues, JCF 2010 will open with a 4-day long Curated Food Market showcasing an array of only the best products at prominent mall Grand Indonesia.

Following the grand opening, the whole month of November will be filled with culinary events at the unique One Month “Pop-Up” Restaurant and different events spread out at rotating venues.

Some key events are Masterchef’s Dinner Sessions; Masterchef’s Cooking Demo/Classes; “Best in Jakarta” in one place: Some of Top 20 Most Favorite Restaurant Foods, Top
20 Most Favorite Streethawker Foods, and Top 10 Most Favorite Cocktails; MIELE GUIDE AWARD Gala Dinner for Best of Asia & Best of Indonesia Restaurant Awards; JCF FoodBloggers Unite Dinner; and Love Garage - Picnic in the Park.

JCF 2010 is a perfect event for all Jakarta foodies to taste, learn, and experience various creations by culinary experts. JCF 2010 also offers good value for diners and provides various food promotions throughout the month of November in all participating establishments.

This year’s festival not only features international guest chefs from different parts of the world, but also Indonesia’s best culinary stars. Masterchefs who will be showcasing their impressive gastronomic knowledge and techniques are Santi Santamaria, a 3-Michelin starred chef; Alvin Leung, a 2-Michelin starred chef; Frank Camorra of MoVida (Australia); Edward Kwon of The Spice (Korea); Ryan Clift of Tippling Club (Singapore); and Jared Ingersoll of Danks Street Bistro (Australia).

The festival also invites Chris Salans of Mozaic Bali, Will Meyrick of Sarong Bali, Aldo Volpi of Social House, and Hugo Adrian of Blowfish Kitchen & Bar. Indonesia’s culinary stars include Chef Vindex Tengker and Senior Master Sommelier Suyanto of Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta.

Jakarta Culinary Festival will introduce a new gourmet experience to food lovers in Jakarta, increase awareness for the growing culinary industry, provide exciting value added benefits, and unite many through the topic of good food, good drinks, and good fun. On a bigger scale, JCF is set to promote Jakarta as an ideal culinary and travel destination in the region. Jakarta Culinary Festival 2010 is presented by Bank Central Asia (BCA) and is organized by Ismaya Catering Co.
