Christie’s Autumn / Winter 2010 auction was the largest season ever with sales of US$414m, an increase of 41% over Spring 2010 and 95% over Autumn 2009. It was a record season for Jewelry, Chinese Paintings and Chinese Works of Art and this season is expected to be just as exciting with a marked increase in the popularity of collecting across Asia.
On show in Singapore will be a selection of highlight lots from the Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art / Fine Chinese Modern Paintings / Asian Contemporary Art & Chinese 20th Century Art / Watches categories.
Christie’s Spring 2011 Sales will take place from 27th May to 1st June 2011 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The sales will span a spectrum of seven collecting categories – from Chinese paintings, ceramics and works of art, to iconic works from modern masters and cutting-edge contemporary works by artists throughout Asia, as well as fine wine, magnificent jewellery and important watches.
