Comedy Kao Kao Open Mic Night is Malaysia's newest monthly comedy show which features open mic talents, namely newbies who have never done stand-up comedy before. Make no mistake, Comedy Kao Kao is every budding comedian's baptism of fire. It is the audition, it is the screening process, it is the most nerve-wrecking job interview ever and the audience will be the judge, the client, the boss!

From LOL Events, the geniuses that brought you the Kings and Queen of Comedy Asia, Laugh Off Asia and All Star Comedy Series, Comedy Kao Kao Open Mic Night combines the thrill of seeing first time performers trying their best and veterans showing their best. The launching night on 8 December 2011 featured the entire spectrum and depth of stand-up comedy, from the very freshest of newbies all the way up to the Godfather of Comedy himself, Harith Iskander.

Tying all this mad mirthful mayhem together is the co-creator, resident emcee and host. Jason Leong, Malaysia's comedy breakout star of 2011. A medical doctor by day and overenthusiastic joker by night, Jason will take the audience through a night of laughter with his unique brand of snippy snappy humour.

Comedy Kao Kao Open Mic Night is a monthly phenomenon not to be missed. Every second Thursday of the month, if you are not at The Bee @ Publika having a cold drink and laughing your butts off, then you will probably miss seeing the next comedic star being born!

So drop by on 9 February at The Bee @ Publika, Solaris Dutamas, KL to get a healthy dose of the raw material the open mic acts will be dishing out, with some appetizers and desserts from the veterans in the field. The show is from 8.30pm till 11.30pm. Do come by earlier to try out the delicious menu at this new lounge as well!
