Flames' 60@60

Prime steaks. Fine wines. Great times. These three phrases, which make up the restaurant’s tagline, evocatively capture the essence of an extraordinary dining experience at Flames, Le Méridien Kota Kinabalu, the city’s only real steak restaurant.

Flames restaurant’s concept of casual, stylish dining in favour of great quality food, showcasing signature steaks, is a profound effort to truly please the palates of Kota Kinabaly city’s steak aficionados.

Culinary creativity inspired Flames’ team to bring a small selection of the restaurant’s finer dishes to the lunch crowd in its 60@60 Executive Lunch initiative. The three-course menu selection is designed to cater for quick, tasteful lunches for the business community.

Classic Caesar Salad, French Onion Soup, Wild Mushroom Soup and Smoked Breast of Chicken Salad are featured as first course options in the menu. And for mains, the menu includes a succulent Grilled Seabass with Tomato and Basil Compote, Roast Chicken Breast with Rosemary Sauce, tender Medallions of Beef Fillet with Cracked Peppercorn Sauce and Penne with Sautéed Vegetables and Basil Cream Sauce. All the mains are served with grilled fresh vegetables and baked potato, with the exception of the pasta dish.

To finish, the 60@60 Executive Lunch desserts feature the timeless French sweet Crème Brulee, a quintessential American favourite, Apple Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream, and on a lighter note, a refreshing Fresh Fruit Platter.

The perfect complement to a meal at Flames has to be the superlative friendly, attentive service of the staff, who are quick to respond to requests and equally prompt in offering their recommendations.
