The A Tavola! menu series is available at Domani Italian restaurant, bringing the authentic Italian cuisines from the home region to Hong Kong every month. In October, Bologna cuisine is presented with a homemade menu created by Michelin-starred Chef Pier Bussetti, and bringing diners a gourmet taste from Bologna, the capital city of Emilia-Romagna.

A Tavola! literally means Come to the Table! in Italian, and is actually a culinary promotion organised by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong launched in June, featuring Italian chefs creating special menus in their restaurants and incorporating their own particular regional Italian cuisine as part of a fixed price complete meal for a three-course dinner for just HK$488+10%.

Trieste region cuisine was presented in Domani in June for the first launch of the A Tavola! menu series, a coastal town and also the hometown of Stephano Bassanese, General Manager of Domani. Since then, Domani extended the A Tavola menu with variety cuisines from different regions by changing menus on a monthly basis, offering Hong Kongers a chance to sample a good selection of different regional cuisines.

Since the official partnership between Domani and Chef Pier Bussetti started, Pier has brought authentic and quality Italian delicacies to diners in Hong Kong. He has infused creativity and his expertise in cooking Piedmont dishes into the October A Tavola menu, twinning with the original recipes of legendary Ristorante Cesari in Bologna, a restaurant with more than a 50-year history in creating exquisite homemade Bolognese-style dishes.

Bologna is renowned as the capital of Italian Homemade Pasta , situated in the fertile Po River Valley, the rich local cuisine depends heavily on meats and cheeses, and what makes Bolognese sauce world famous. While Ristorante Cesari has been managed by the family Cesari since 1955 for Bologna’s nobles’ families and today it is being daily visited by tones of tourists that come from all over the world visiting Bologna.

The A Tavola menu featuring Bologna starts with the famous Alla Bolognese gnocchi with Rosemary and Granda Padano, followed by Rabbit flavoured with 25-year-old balsamic vinegar from Modena: rack, loin, liver, leg, and it is perfectly ended with a specially created English soup, a dessert in Emilia-Romagna style. This three-course meal, beautifully crafted to mirror the traditions of the Bologna region, is available for just HK$488+10% per person until 31 October 2011 at Domani.

Domani is also honoured to have Chef Riccardo Cesari from Ristorante Cesari in Hong Kong to host a five-course gala dinner on 27 October 2011, with an exquisite menu for just HK$980+10% per person paired with seven Cesari wines. In addition to two traditional Bolognese style pasta tagliatelle and Strichetti , mouthwatering traditional Emilia-Romagna cold-cuts, Veal tenderloin with Fontina cheese and Parma ham, and traditional dessert chocolate flan Tenerina will also be included.
