The Panamera, Porsche’s 4 door Grand Torismo sets the benchmark in its class not only in terms of superior performance and exemplary efficiency, but also through a particularly high standard of personal comfort and exclusive features.
Performance:
The Panamera offers no less than five world-first innovations to be admired in a luxury performance segment production model:
- - Porsche’s new Gran Turismo is the first car in this segment with double-clutch transmission.
- - It is the first car in its segment to combine a start-stop system with automatic transmission.
- - The Panamera offers air suspension with additional, on-demand air volume in each spring
- - It is the first model with active aerodynamics provided by the rear spoiler moving up automatically and adjustable in its angle.
- - And it comes with the first Sport Chrono Package in this segment for an even more sporting setting of the engine, suspension and transmission, as well as other features, at the simple touch of a button
Yet another breakthrough technology featured is Launch Control for optimum acceleration whenever required.
The Porsche Panamera Turbo is nothing short of impressive, clocking 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and reaching top speeds of 303km/h or 188 mph. This is largely thanks to biturbo technology from its 4.8 litre V8 engine.
A Wide Range of Functions & Equipment
Enjoying the brand-new architecture of the Panamera’s interior, the driver will benefit from many well-known highlights in Porsche design. These include five circular instruments already so typical of the 911, with the rev counter in the middle and the ignition lock placed to the left of the steering wheel. The low seating position and the sporting, steep angle of the steering wheel again reflect the layout so typical of Porsche’s sports cars and give the driver of the Panamera that direct feel of the road again so characteristic of this brand.
Even in the luxury performance class, the Panamera sets new standards in terms of audio and communication. The highlight in the central control unit is the seven-inch colour touchscreen fitted in combination with both the CDR-31 audio system and PCM Porsche Communication Management including a navigation module. Based on these sophisticated high-tech systems, the Panamera offers a large number of individual functions ranging from voice control through Bluetooth® connections for the user’s mobile telephone all the way to the electronic logbook.
As an option the passengers at the rear are able to enjoy their very own, personal entertainment programme with Porsche Rear Seat Entertainment incorporating two consoles integrated in the backrests of the front seats with swivelling seven-inch TFT colour displays including integrated players and cordless infra-red headsets.
