The internationally-renowned and award-winning Banyan Tree Spa reaches for new heights when it opens at Banyan Tree Macau in May this year.
Featuring 21 beautifully-appointed treatment rooms, Banyan Tree Spa Macau will set a new benchmark for sensory Asian-inspired pampering for guests seeking a relaxing and revitalising spa experience. Designed with a contemporary Asian theme showcasing a bamboo-motif reception, a tranquil water court and a bamboo courtyard with glass skylight, guests are invited to step into another world, away from the night life and entertainment hubs of the city. The 3,400-square-metre Spa is scheduled to open later this summer as part of the US$1.9 billion Galaxy Macau resort launch in Cotai city.
The high-rise Banyan Tree Macau is the first urban resort in Macau to feature private indoor relaxation pools in all its 227 well-appointed suites. It adjoins the world’s largest ‘sky wave’ pool – complete with a 150-metre white sand beach – in the largest resort development in Macau.

Banyan Tree Spa – inspired by the tropical and sacred tree that gives the group its name – offers intimate retreats for physical, mental and spiritual renewal. As the first luxury spa in Asia, Banyan Tree Spa prides itself in re-introducing an exotic blend of time-honoured health and beauty practices. Focusing on a nonclinical and holistic ‘high-touch, low-tech’ approach, Banyan Tree Spa emphasises the traditions of Asianinspired healing therapies and celebrates the art of touch.
Guests will reawaken their senses by the intuitive touch of the therapists along with the use of natural ingredients such as herbs, spices and aromatic oils. All therapists are graduates of the award-winning Banyan Tree Spa Academy established in May 2001 in Phuket (Thailand), followed by Bintan (Indonesia) and Lijiang (China). Its rigorous theoretical and practical training ensures therapists deliver consistently high quality service that guests have come to expect from the ever-innovating and evolving brand.
